Our shift in focus – From Sponsorships to Scholarships.
Our Scholarship Program
For more than 25 years, Awareness Cambodia has been transforming lives through long-term care, education, and opportunity for vulnerable children and young people in Cambodia.
Through the generosity of supporters, churches, and partner organisations, children from some of Cambodia’s poorest communities were provided with safety, education, housing, healthcare, and hope for the future. Many of those children have now grown into university students, graduates, professionals, and leaders helping shape modern Cambodia.
Today, we continue building on that legacy through our University Scholarships Programme, centred around Graduation House. What began as childhood sponsorship has evolved into long-term empowerment through higher education, mentoring, leadership development, and professional pathways.
The programme supports:
• Young adults from our original sponsorship homes
• Students from under-resourced provincial communities
• New scholarship pathways in fields including medicine, engineering, nursing, agriculture, education, construction, and public administration
Recent partnerships have also expanded opportunities, including nursing scholarships through University Puthisastra and the Purcell Agriculture Scholarship programme.

Others are beginning careers with international companies, pursuing postgraduate qualifications, marrying, raising families, and serving their communities both within Cambodia and overseas.
Each scholarship transforms far more than one life – it creates ripple effects across families, villages, workplaces, and future generations.
